Virtualized SOC Lab

A detection environment built from the network edge to the analyst console.

Designed during my technical internship at CIH Bank, this segmented lab centralizes Linux, Windows and network telemetry in Wazuh, then validates detection scenarios through controlled attacks from Kali Linux.

Designed and implemented a cybersecurity monitoring and threat-detection environment based on SOC technologies.

  • Designed a virtualized SOC lab integrating Windows, Linux, firewall, SIEM and attacker environments
  • Deployed Wazuh SIEM for centralized monitoring, log collection and alert analysis
  • Integrated Suricata NIDS with Wazuh for network attack detection and correlation
  • Configured Sysmon and Wazuh agents for advanced Windows endpoint monitoring
